2025 Convention - Dayton, OH

The ACIF convention in October 2025 was held in Dayton, Ohio. The convention dates were October 23 - 25, 2025.  There was no host , but Metty Thomason made the hotel arrangements and scouted out the Heart of Ohio Antique Center in nearby Springfield! We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites - Dayton Vandalia  on Miller Lane which paralleled the freeway and was filled with hotels and places to eat.

Friday night:  Scott Lowe gave a presentation on Piso patent medicine a quack product of Dr. Hazelton in the 1840s - 1850s, and Bob Beckerer educated us on Ball canning jars. Our Fun Fund auction a had few items for the attendees to bid on, but we missed our auctioneer Jinny Brodsky!

Saturday day we had our group outing to the Heart of Ohio Antique Center, with a group lunch in their cafe. Several members found items to buy! There were rows and rows of glass cases and hundreds of booths to look through. Most called it a day by 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. in get back to the hotel and put their feet up before the evening's events. Don LaFont gave a presentation on a Child's Veilleuse and Bob Beckerer shared a story about a barometer. The business meeting was held, officers were elected for the next 2 years, and the sale was conducted.  See photos below of the happenings.
